Indonesia is one o the biggest archipelagic country in the world with 5 million km wide for ocean water. BAsed on geospatial information law (UU no.4/2011), the goverment must provide spatial data (base and thematic map) with scale variation. Therefore, it is needed to provide the maps universities besides research and community service. By simple, geomatics is a scince and technique Therefore, geomatics engineering has also duties to teach geomatics students for making hydrographic map at Prigi Beach (Trenggalek - East Java) with former and new technology such as compass, roll meter, total station, GPS navigation, RTK GPS, and depth recorder (single beam echosounder).
