AIFDR was established on 15th July 2010. It is a partnerships organization between AUSAid and BNPB (National Agency for Disaster Management) of Indonesia. The AIFDR is designed to strengthened ability of Indonesia to reduce the impact of disaster. Preparing good disaster management has to be started from the identification of the location where the disaster are occasionally occurs. The next steps is the understanding the type of disaster and its behavior, its magnitude and frequency. Those are the results of the physical environment analysis. The characteristics of community who live in the disaster prone area are another important things that have to be evaluate prior the formulation of disaster management strategies.
