The Volcanic risk was assess through analysis of physical and socio-cultural of community who lives in the volcanic body. One of the study area in the MIA-VITA project is Merapi Volcano. The research in Merapi volcano is proposed to build an atlas through mapping the vulnerable community during pre-eruption and post eruption. Geographic information systems was applied to build geodatabase which all are geo-referenced into the RBI maps. Data updating of landuse and landcover were done through high resolution imageries interpretation. The detail ground survey was also done to update the information collected from statistical data in the form PODES to perform new statistical data in the form of PODUS.
