Modern control system theory and application
This book aims at an audience consisting of the senior undergrate student, the first-year graduate student, and the practicing control system engineer. Its contents correspondto approximately three semestercredit hours and are based on course that i have taught at universities (The Cooper Union and the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn) and in industry (sperry rand corporation)
Modern control systems theory and application is distinguished by the fpllowing desirable features : 1) A unified blending of the classical and modern approaches; 2) Presentation of working digital computer programs; 3) The development of theoretical topics is coupled with clear applications of the theory in engineering design.; 4) A coverage of a variety of topics of recent importance; 5) An in depth coverage of lineaer and nonlinear control systems; 6) A set of problems with answers to one-half of them contained in the book; 7) An accompanying instructors guide and solution manual containing detailed solution to the remaining problems.
