Thus book is a sequel t the book, Glbal Environmental Darabases wich was published in July 2000 as nhe f the activitiers by the International Sciety for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Working Group IV/6 (1996-2000). The fllowing wrking Grup IV/8 (2000-2004)nn Global Environmental Databases has taken over this activity by the same coshairmen,Tateishi and Hastings. The main purposes of the ISPRS WG IV/8 (2000-2004) are : - To survey existing global datasets/databases and t observe their trend. - To identify obstacles in the develpment and usage f glbal datasets/databases. - To find the better slutions to remove these obstacles.
