A lost of gravity data have been collected throught Indonesia since the famous vening meinesz expedition in the 20's but neiter have these data been complied in one organization nor in a uniforms system. These data are neede by various organizations and disciplines as these data do not only serve exploration purpose but also have a scientific value in man'squest for the study of the gravity field of the earth and hence, the figure of te earth. In order to fulfill the various needs of gravity information, a national gravity data bank is timely to be developed as envisaged by the International Gravimetrique Bureau.
