Towards the development of an information network for land resources evaluation in regional planning (Dok.No.13/1979)

Land resources evaluation is meant in this report as to include the appraisal of land with its spatial dimension (or size and form) as well as its capacity as resources for development. This evaluation is to provide planning alternative for regional development. Accordingly, this resources evaluation includes the spatial analysis of land potentials for it rational and sustained utilization. In this relation, the land resources is not only evaluated terms of its quality, but also of its position with reference to the condition carrying capacity and prospects of the environment Therefore, the land resources, vegetation, climatic condition and topography in their ecological relationship.
