Digital techniques are recognised as the way to achieve high level of efficiency, cost effecttiveness and improve responsiveness in the productionof maps and related information. lately Bakosurtanal had purchased the computerized graphic system COMARC, computer controled orthophoto system WILD ORI, automatic recording equipment for photogrametric ploters, digital image processing system (DIPIX)for landsat data, program package for aerial triangulation, DTM, Countor, generation, etc.Unfortunately, the lack of integration between these individual sub systems has reduced their effectiveness in achieving objectives.
