Brain computer interface systems: recent progress and future prospects
In this book a few recent advances and future prospects are discussed. In the first chapter, important issues concerning end-users including needs, gaps, paradigm designs, and BCI evaluations are discussed. and BCI evaluations are discussed. Chapter2 disvribes different approaches to interconnect a BCI system with one or more applications, and their advantages and disadvantages. In Chapters 3 to 9, different advanced signal processing methods and their applications in BCI systems are discussed. The methods include adaptive network fuzzy inference systems (Chapter 3), Bayesian sequential learning (Chapter 4), fractal features and neural networks (Chapter 5), autoregressive models of waveled bases (Chapter 6), hidden Markov models (Chapter 7), equivalent current dipole source localization (Chsptyer 8), and independent component analysis (Chapter 9). Chapter 10 and 11 review hybrid approached and wireless techiques used in BCI systems, respectively, Finally, in the last two chapters, two applications of BCI systems in epilepsy treatment and emotion detections are discussed.
